Bello Mind and Soul



I am an art-based workshop facilitator who is dedicated and passionate about nurturing others to improve their skills, confidence and wellbeing. I work as a freelance facilitator under the name ‘Bello Mind and Soul’ Specializing in person-centred theory and Inclusive practice but equally thrive on working within a team as a support worker at the National Autistic Society. I have an energetic and enthusiastic attitude and a am always looking to challenge myself further and commit myself to new opportunities.

I have motivated young people with complex learning needs to engage in the creative arts whilst supporting each individual to ensure their needs are met accordingly.

I have undertaken work experience as an associate at The Arcade Cardiff Gallery and Three Doors Up. This is where I have invigilated, Supported professional artists and delivered workshops of my own design

I have created workshops tailored to support mental health and wellbeing at festivals and charity events, in addition, I have facilitated one to one and group art workshops with participants with various needs and abilities.

Learning Support Assistant, Landau Forte College 2018- 2019

I have supported young people aged 11-16 to reach their academic goals. I have worked with young people who have had a range of learning needs such as Autism. I set up my own Art and Wellbeing intervention for the students to have somewhere where they could feel accepted and could express who they are. 

Support Worker National Autistic Society 2016-2018

My job roles involve the support of adults, who are autistic using creative arts and assisting students to work towards, and eventually achieve, their goals. This combines both my passion for art and my love to care for people. From this, I have moved into the creative arts department to help develop functional skills and achieve qualifications. I am the featured person on the National Autistic Society’s marketing materials on their website, on billboards and on their YouTube channel.

Creative Arts Practitioner at Crown Bridge Special Educational School South Wales 2014-2015

I facilitated creative art workshops focusing on multimedia materials working with 7-8-year-olds with multiple learning disabilities. I created risk assessments to make sure each week the participants were safe.

I created a sensory room for the participants at the national autistic society and designed creative art workshops for adults with autism focusing on developing their social engagement I reflected each week on the sessions to show progression and improvement.

Judge National Autistic Society Arts Competition, Newport, 2016

I judged the art work of the creative Autistic Service users and the winner's work went to London and then toured round the UK.

This was a voluntary position for Children’s First, a role in which I have assisted and helped young adults regain their confidence back and social skills
